Get your ZIP file icons back

Restore the default Windows icon for ZIP files by changing the default app for compressed files from Simstaller back to File Explorer.

ZIP file icons change when Windows changes the default program used for compressed files. To change it back:

  1. Right-click the ZIP file.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Next to Opens with: Simstaller, click Change.
  4. Select File Explorer, then press OK.

Your compressed files now show the default “folder with the zipper” icon again.
